About Fleet Valley Care Home
Fleet Valley Care Home is a purpose built Care Home that provides a superior standard of accommodation.
The Home is designed to promote small group living providing accommodation for 43 residents. Although equipped with every modern comfort, Fleet Valley nevertheless retains an air of unhurried tranquillity, a welcoming atmosphere and a sense of family that ensure residents feel relaxed and at home.
Whilst staying with us you will enjoy charming surroundings, hand-prepared cuisine and quality care. We proud to play a large part in our local community, and in addition to hosting multigenerational music groups and school visits, we are always part of any community celebrations and competitions and host the Gatehouse of Fleet Whist Group.
Meet our Manager, Sheila Kelly
Fleet Valley Care Home Manager Sheila Kelly has been leading our team since 2008. Her passion has always been to make a difference to the lives of the individuals in her care.
A Chartered Manager with a degree qualification in Health and Social Care, Sheila began her career as a care assistant over 30 years ago, working in Residential care settings and services specialising in Dementia care, before joining the team at Fleet Valley.
Sheila’s priority is to provide individuals with care in a safe environment where dignity is maintained, personal privacy respected and personal needs are fully met. She is incredibly proud of Fleet Valley’s family feel and believes fun and laughter is a priority.
As a manager, Sheila enjoys training and coaching her staff, sharing information and knowledge from her experience and learning as a Dementia Champion. For Sheila, the true success of being a manager is measured in improving the lives of those around her, if you can help someone meet their goals, make them smile when they didn’t think they could, then that’s what truly counts.
Outside of work, Sheila enjoys family time, reading and walking with friends. She lives with husband Richard and has one daughter and two grandchildren,
